THIS LEAGUE SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITS A BRB FROM EITHER PLAYER ON A TEAM WHEN EITHER TEAM MEMBER BIDS NIL EXCEPT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. REMAIN IN YOUR SEAT AND PLAY THE NIL HAND TO COMPLETION.

Same household members Rule : Members that live in the same house may compete in any tourney where you can choose your partner so that they are on 2 different teams. They are not permitted to join a random or 1vs1 tourney.

"REGULAR PARTNERS"  Finding someone to like to play with often is one thing, another is only playing with that person & not any other league members. Like any other league , we frown upon this very much so for obvious reasons. If  we find players doing this , they will be asked to partner others . If they don't comply , we will give them a penalty.  You must play 2 tourneys before partnering up with the same person again.   EG: If you and your favorite P play a tourney , you must each play with 2 different partners (in tourneys) before partnering again, this also applies for rated league games Random or Special tourneys do NOT count

First Offense : Verbal Warning          Second Offense : 3 Days Boxing

      Third Offense : Removed from League.

All communications programs including Yahoo Pager, MSN Messenger, ICQ, etc., are required to be OFF during ALL play in the Raging Spades League.

This league is rapid play. The 5  second rule can and will be applied to your game if there is excessive or repeated slow play during game. The Td will annouce it, once in effect , all players have 5 seconds each to play a card.

Players must turn off the Kibitz option during all games in this league.

Any player that disrespects another member of the league will receive the following: (subject to immediate BAN if warranted per Head Admin)

First offense: Verbal warning

Second offense: 7 days of  box time.

Third offense: Removal from league

TOURNAMENTS

All regular tourney games will be played on rated or unrated, no forfeit and protected tables.

Any forced bid games such as all bid 3, mirrors, will be played on unrated, no forfeit and protected tables. Regular spades will be on rated or unrated table per TD rules page.

Subs are allowed in tournies with the following rules:

NO SUBS ALLOWED FOR A 1 VS 1. 

A sub will be gotten after a 5 minute timer expires to allow the game to finish for the other players, if needed.

Subs must be an active member of the Raging Spades League.

2vs2~ Once a player leaves a table, a timer is set.  Immediately the TD can request that player's partner to get a sub.

Once original player has returned sub must give up seat.

Only in a Regular Rated match if a player is missing prior to the match starting will we wait for 5 minutes before getting a sub since the sub has the right to play the full match (as it is that player's Yahoo rating on the line).

All tournament games will be reported by the TD.

Tournies need to  start no later than 10 mins past start time, unless its a special.

LEAGUE GAMES

All league matches are to be played on Rated tables.

All players must agree that it is a league match BEFORE the game starts.

All regular game matches are to be reported by each member of the losing team on the Main League Page before participating in any other league matches. ( Report Loss)

Players that don't receive their report for win must use the following procedure:

Remind the player through IM or email.

If no response within 24 hours, file an unreported match found in the left column.

League Conduct

We encourage you to try to solve problems on your own before bringing it to the staff, but not to the point of creating hardship to yourself or harassing other users. We have one of the best support staffs available to assist you.  If you have a problem will be happy to help you.

It is unacceptableto abuse or harrass another League member. If you are observed being abusive in chat it could result in a major penalty. Depending upon the extent of the abuse you might not always receive a warning in these cases. It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. In other words, if you are being harrassed by another Ladder member come to us for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could find yourself in trouble as well.

If you encounter another user (non member) behaving in an unacceptable manner in lobby the best thing to do is just IGNORE them.  Responding to them  will only make matters worse, as their goal is to irk others online......DO NOT INVOLVE YOURSELF!  If you are asked to stop & you do not , a penalty will occur.

We can't cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. We have tried to be as thorough as possible and cover all the basics. However, just because something is not listed doesn't meant that it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely effect other players and you might think twice about doing it's probably against the rules. Our staff has the final say in such matters.
